HOT'N'SPICY CHEESEBURGERS
1 ½ pound ground beef.
¼ cup seeded and chopped VLASIC Hot Banana Peppers.
½ teaspoon ground cumin.
½ cup OPEN PIT Original Flavor Barbecue Sauce.
6 thin slices Cheddar cheese.
6 onion or hamburger buns, split and toasted.
1. In large bowl, combine beef, pepper and cumin. Shape into six 1-inch thick patties.
2. On grill rack, place patties above medium coals. Grill, uncovered, until done (allow 10 minutes for medium and 12 minutes for well-done); turn and brush often with barbecue sauce. The last minute of grilling, tap with cheese slices; heat until melted. Place patties on buns. Makes 6 servings
To broil: Arrange patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat until done (allow 15 minutes medium and 18 minutes for well-done ); turn and brush often with barbecue sauce. The last minute of broiling, top with cheese slices; heat until melted.
