HAMBURGERS WITH BURGUNDY
1-½ pounds ground lean beef.
3/8-cup Burgundy wine.
1-teaspoon seasoned salt pepper to taste.
Mix all ingredients and shape into patties. Prepare Burgundy Sauce, below.
BURGUNDY SAUCE
3-tablespoons butter.
3-tablespoons soy sauce.
3-tablespoons chopped chives or scallions.
¼-cup Burgundy (or other red dinner wine) cornstarch (optional)
Heat all ingredients except the cornstarch. If thickened sauce is desired, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with a little cold water; add to sauce. Cook until clear and thickened. Cook hamburgers as above, serve with sauce.
