BURGER U.S.A.

1½ pounds ground beef
1/3 cup OPEN PIT Original Flavor Barbecue Sauce, divided
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
½ teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed
½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
12 hamburger buns, split and toasted
VLASIC Original Hamburger Dill Chips or Hamburger Relish


1. In large bowl, combine beef, 2 tablespoons of the barbecue sauce, onion, basil and oregano. Shape into twelve 1/2-inch-thick patties.
2. On grill rack, place patties directly above medium coals. Grill, uncovered, until desired doneness (allow 10 minutes for medium and 12 minutes for well-done), turning and brushing often with remaining barbecue sauce.
3. To serve: Place patties on buns with dill chips. Makes 12 servings.
To Broil : Arrange patties on oven grill/roasting rack. Broil 4 inches from heat until desired doneness (allow 15 minutes for medium and 18 minutes for well-done), turning and brushing often with remaining barbecue sauce.
